The school administration’s work plans (strategic plan, school development plan, school guidance plan, etc.) were developed to promote gender equality. Before this section was created in the guide, participants from the partner schools were informed about how their school’s strategic action plans could focus on gender equality. Under the mentorship of academic participants from MACEDONIA UNIVERSITY, brainstorming groups were formed to find answers to questions about what should be done and how it should be done. Using the scientific research data from MACEDONIA UNIVERSITY as a reference, standards ensuring that school management work plans were centered on gender equality were determined. Institutional monitoring and evaluation for gender awareness were established.

Project partner schools set up „Gender Equality Commissions“ with the participation of school teachers and administrators at the beginning of the project. The standards in this section and the commissions‘ school evaluation reports were shared among the school participants. By comparing the research results from the University with the evaluation reports from the commissions, the questions of what should be done and how it should be done were answered, and standards were established. Employees were motivated to work towards supporting gender equality. Standards in this section were determined through group work. Collaboration between schools and NGOs on gender equality was fostered.

The project coordinator acted as a mentor while creating the standards in this section and provided information about the contributions of NGOs to mainstreaming gender equality in schools.
